Job Purpose:

The Executive Director and Site Lead at Doctors Hospital Rockwell holds a key leadership role within Doctors Hospital and is responsible for overseeing all operational, clinical, financial, and strategic functions at the site. This role ensures the delivery of high-quality, patient-centered healthcare services in an efficient, safe, and compliant environment. The Director serves as the primary representative of the hospital in the community, fostering relationships with patients, staff, community leaders, and other stakeholders to promote and enhance the hospital’s reputation and service delivery.

The incumbent will lead cross-functional teams, manage budgets, implement policy, and support a workplace culture that promotes collaboration, accountability, and excellence in patient care.

 

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic and operational leadership for all day-to-day functions of the Doctors Hospital Rockwell site.
  • Oversee all areas of hospital operations, including clinical services, financial performance, facilities management, human resources, and administrative functions.
  • Ensure the consistent delivery of high-quality, patient-centered care in accordance with regulatory and accreditation standards.
  • Develop and implement operational policies, procedures, and best practices that support the hospital’s mission, vision, and values.
  • Foster a positive, inclusive, and high-performing workplace culture that supports employee engagement, retention, and development.
  • Manage the hospital’s annual operating budget, ensuring responsible financial stewardship and achievement of financial goals.
  • Establish and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with key stakeholders, including patients, employees, physicians, vendors, and community partners.
  • Negotiate, manage, and evaluate contracts with external vendors, service providers, and contractors to ensure cost-effectiveness and quality service delivery.
  • Lead the hospital’s emergency preparedness planning and response efforts, ensuring continuity of care and safety during crisis situations.
  • Chair and facilitate site leadership meetings to drive alignment, cross-functional collaboration, and performance tracking across departments.
  • Identify operational challenges and implement data-driven, innovative solutions to improve service delivery and organizational effectiveness.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between hospital site leadership and the broader Doctors Hospital executive leadership team.
  • Represent Doctors Hospital Rockwell in community outreach initiatives, strengthening the hospital’s presence and reputation within the local community.

 

Non-Essential Functions:

  • Represent Doctors Hospital at industry events, conferences, or public forums as needed.
  • Assist in organizational initiatives beyond the Rockwell site as directed by executive leadership.
  • Participate in system-wide strategic planning, mentorship programs, or hospital committees.
  • Engage in continuing professional education to remain current on healthcare trends and leadership practices.
  • Support initiatives related to community outreach or corporate social responsibility.

 

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Master’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or a related field is required.
  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in healthcare management, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
  • Proven experience in hospital or healthcare facility operations, preferably in a multidisciplinary care setting.
  • Demonstrated success in managing hospital accreditation and regulatory compliance.
  • Strong financial management background, including budgeting, cost control, and financial reporting.
  • Previous experience overseeing large teams and working within a matrixed organizational structure.
  • Solid understanding of healthcare technologies and operational systems.
  • Proven ability to build relationships with internal teams, community partners, and external stakeholders.
  • Strategic mindset with a results-oriented approach to leadership and performance improvement.
  • Ability to manage high-pressure situations, maintain professionalism, and prioritize competing demands effectively.

 

Professional Requirements:

  • Demonstrated leadership experience in a complex healthcare environment, with a proven track record of driving operational excellence and organizational performance.
  • Deep understanding of hospital systems, clinical workflows, and patient care standards in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
  • Strong knowledge of healthcare laws, regulatory requirements, and accreditation standards (e.g., JCI, CMS, local MOH regulations).
  • Proven ability to manage large multidisciplinary teams with a focus on accountability, staff development, and retention.
  • Experience developing and managing budgets, analyzing financial performance, and implementing cost-containment strategies.
  • Demonstrated success in leading strategic planning, quality improvement, and performance management initiatives.
  • High level of professionalism, integrity, and ethical decision-making.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with executives, clinicians, staff, and community stakeholders.
  • Competency in using hospital information systems, financial software, and digital communication platforms.
