The Financial Reporting Officer I is responsible for providing financial, administrative and clerical support services. This function includes processing various transactions, monitoring payments and vendor reconciliation.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process wires, EFTs, invoices, cheques, and journal entries in Flexcube and Accpac.
  • Perform monthly reconciliations, including Accounts Payable, Balance Sheet GLs, Nostro accounts, and vendor accounts.
  • Prepare, review, and submit daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly regulatory reports to the Central Bank in accordance with established deadlines.
  • Input and maintain daily foreign currency rates within the Bank’s core banking system.
  • Prepare financial returns, regulatory surveys, investment and currency market reconciliation reports, and supporting schedules.
  • Monitor, track, and maintain records of regulatory submissions, including late and resubmitted reports.
  • Prepare analysis and commentary on material asset and liability movements and respond to Central Bank queries as required.
  • Prepare and review branch listings, suspense listings, and other internal control reports.
  • Prepare periodic internal compliance reports, including clear desk inspections, absenteeism, and tardiness reports.
  • Support Treasury operations, including spot position reporting and related functions.
  • Assist with the creation, maintenance, and reconciliation of general ledger (GL) accounts in Flexcube and Accpac.
  • Provide backup support across the Finance and Accounting functions, as required.


Minimum Qualifications & Experience:

  • Associate degree or Institute of Financial Services (IFS) Certificate.
  • Basic knowledge of bank operations to assist with reconciliations, identify discrepancies, and support customers, as required.
  • General understanding of branch and/or Bank policies, procedures, and services relevant to the assigned area.
  • Core accounting and mathematical skills to calculate figures, reconcile reports, and process transactions accurately.
  • Working knowledge of computer applications and the Bank’s network to retrieve reports, post entries, prepare documentation, and generate reports using standard office software (e.g., MS Word, MS Excel), and to respond to email correspondence.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with internal staff and external stakeholders, and to prepare routine correspondence and reports.
  • Ability to operate standard office equipment, including computers, calculators, printers, and photocopiers.
