The Human Resources Analyst compiles and analyzes metrics, maintains databases, conducts surveys and research, and benchmarks outcomes to support strategic decision-making and reporting.

 

Responsibilities

  • Compile, analyze and report on HR data and key metrics for weekly Brief, Board and Annual reports, internal audit exercises, risk assessments, data requests, surveys and management review; ensure that data is accurate, relevant, and timely disseminated.
  • Create and maintain HR database via regular updates of relevant data on employee demographics, recruitment, salary and other benefits, training, and employee engagement.
  • Undertake research and conduct surveys on effectiveness of training, benefits analysis, engagement, process improvement. This will involve work with all stakeholders, including measuring HR’s effectiveness to its clients (Bank Staff).
  • Compile predictive statistics of key HR metrics and benchmark outcomes against industry and international standards.
  • Contribute to the improvement of HR data collection and analysis, methodologies and systems and ongoing development of reports for decision making and strategic management as well as assist with training team members.

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in mathematics, statistics, economics, data science, operations research, quantitative finance, or a related field of study from a recognized tertiary-level institution. HR certification (PHRi, SHRM-CP) a plus.
  • Sound knowledge and experience in data analysis and research methods.
  • Strong understanding and working knowledge of analytical and reporting tools and software.
  • General knowledge of human resources information systems, HR practices, policies, regulations, and compliance requirements.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of regression techniques, and a clear understanding of data sources and formatting.
  • Sound understanding of forecasting, modelling and human behaviour.
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, investigative and problem solving skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively.
  • Excellent written, verbal communication and presentation skills to effectively communicate data insights to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment. Strong organizational and time management skills to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office suite of products and working knowledge of statistical software packages, data visualization software and analytical tools.
  • Proficiency in machine learning methodologies, data analysis, model development and validation, and programming capabilities in R and Python, a plus
  • Three (3) years related or transferrable experience.
