Instructor – Instrument Repairs Mechanic

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provides workshop based instruction to individuals and small groups.
• Undertakes any work-based assessment duties as required by the Manager
• Provides supervision, support and guidance/counselling to apprentices/trainees.
• Provides apprentices/trainees with timely and comprehensive feedback regarding their competence.
• Prepares teaching aids and templates as requested.
• Ensures that the operations of the workshop conform to current safety rules and regulations.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIRED:

• Successful completion of Apprenticeship at GTC/PM in the field of Instrumentation along with Electrical Technician Parts 1 & 2 Certificates plus a minimum of four (4) years' experience at the level of Chargehand/Foreman in the Sugar Industry.

OR

• Successful completion of Electrical Technician Part 1 & 2 Certificates plus a minimum of six (6) years' experience at the level of Chargehand/Foreman in the Sugar Industry or any other company.
