Following widespread damage from Hurricane Melissa, volunteers are urgently needed to support patient care across affected areas (including, but not limited to, Black River Hospital).

 


National Call for Nurse Volunteers

  • Shifts: 8–48 hours, commencing Friday, 31 October 2025 (subject to safe access).
  • Conditions: Some sites are without electricity; duties may be in wards or field tents. Overnight shifts may require tent accommodation.
  • Access & Coordination: The JDF is working to restore safe corridors. Deployment is coordinated with the Health Emergency Operations Centre (HEOC) and volunteer lists will be shared accordingly.
  • Placement: If unable to serve at Black River Hospital, indicate willingness to be assigned to another location at the end of the form.
