Reporting to the Oxygen Plant Supervisor, the incumbent is responsible for the monitoring and management of the cylinder’s safety, handling and operations at all times.

 

The ideal candidate will meet the following educational criteria:

  • A minimum of a high school leaving certificate/diploma. 

Plus 

  • Minimum two (2) years’ experience in oxygen cylinder related services in hospital or oxygen production setting is a plus. 

 

Specific Knowledge Required:

  • Medical gas relevant technical training 
  • Knowledge of Occupational Safety guidelines. 
  • Knowledge of basic medical cylinders, storage and warehousing 
  • Experience with chemicals, hazardous gases, and gas management 

 

Key responsibilities will include but not limited to:

  • Monitor and manage cylinder’s safety, handling and operations 
  • Refill high pressure cylinders with medical grade oxygen at refilling station and assist in loading to vehicles for dispatch 
  • Replace empty cylinders with filled ones in manifold station 
  • Perform post-fill processes 
  • Store oxygen cylinders in appropriate section of room/warehouse 
  • Ensure all workstations are maintained in an efficient, clean and safe manner
  • Performs other duties related to oxygen provision as required
