The Product Quality Officer monitors and assesses tourism entities, facilitates sector development through consultations, processes licensing applications, and provides reports and guidelines to improve service quality.

 

Overview

The Product Quality Officer monitor and assess entities in the tourism sector in order to facilitate development of tourism entities and services; facilitates the development of the tourism product via consultation with operators and relevant agencies; process applications for JTB licensing.

  • Consultation reports – inclusive of guidance given regarding regulatory requirements.
  • Status reports on the sector
  • Encourage change in sector via assistance measurement seen via upgrading of specific entities targeted.
  • Provide guidelines/manuals/checklist to inform changes and adjustments to improved levels of quality

 

Minimum Education and Experience

  • University Degree in Tourism/Hotel Management/Social Sciences and training in Hotel Management.
  • Minimum of five (5) yeas’ working experience in the tourism sector in a related field.
  • Extensive knowledge of the hotel and tourist sector.
  • Sound knowledge of the food, beverage and operational functions applicable in the tourist field.
