Research Intern, Research Department

CORE FUNCTIONS:

• Provide technical and administrative support to the Research Department
• Perform administrative functions within the Department to ensure the efficient and effective flow and organisation of work.
• Collect, compile and analyse statistical data and assist in maintaining statistical databases, and resolving data compilation issues.
• Assist in providing written analysis of economic data for the Department's publications and, where prudent, provide comments on macroeconomic issues.
• Provide comments on policy and legislative proposals referred to the Research Department. 

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor's degree in economics, finance, statistics, or mathematics from a recognised tertiary institution.
• Proficiency with the use of software applications used for statistics and data analysis, including spreadsheets; presentations tools.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Good public relations skills.
• Ability to work under pressure.
• No prior experience.
