The Warwick Academy wishes to invite suitably qualified candidates to fill the position of Secondary Teacher of Drama/Theatre Arts/Film & English.

 

Secondary Teacher of Drama/Theatre Arts/Film & English

  • Required to teach IB (Higher & Standard Level), IGCSE and Key Stage 3 Drama/Theatre Arts/Film; as well as Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 English.
  • Experience leading a large-scale drama production and/or the ability to teach Psychology will be a significant advantage.

 

Requirements:

  • Must hold a teacher qualification at the Secondary School level, and ideally hold an appropriate honours degree in their main teaching subject.
  • At least 3 years’ teaching experience in the educational programmes offered – the UK National Curriculum KS3, I/GCSE, BTEC and the International Baccalaureate or similar curricula (A-level/AP).
  • Proven external examination success is essential when teaching the IB and I/GCSE programmes.
  • It is expected that the successful candidates will have well developed interpersonal skills, the ability to work effectively with a highly motivated team of teachers, and must be prepared to contribute to the school’s extensive co-curricular programme.
