Under the direct supervision of the Chief Orderly or any other designated Supervisor, the Hospital Attendant (Porter) is a shift worker that is assigned to various departments of the hospital and provides support to the health professionals.

The incumbent inspects food establishments, enforces public health laws, certifies meat and food handlers, monitors tourist sites, investigates outbreaks, and promotes health and safety through inspections and training.
