The incumbent is responsible to plan, organize and control the technical operations of the National Blood Transfusion Service, in addition to providing administrative oversight of the Blood Collection Centres.

The incumbent collects and processes biological samples, conducts routine laboratory tests, ensures adherence to quality and safety standards, maintains equipment, manages inventory, support research, and provides technical guidance and documentation

The Commitment Control Officer coordinates and maintains an effective cash management system and ensures the proper planning and control of commitments/expenditures within the limits of the Approved Provision and Warrant Allocations.

Under the general direction of the Director, the Public Relations Officer shall have responsibility for providing professional public relations services for the Ministry of Health and Wellness.
