This role is responsible for leading and coordinating all business development activities for Retail Banking with the primary objective of driving increased volume and revenue and should be able to recognize and capitalize on selling opportunities.

 

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and implementing a business development plan partnering with the respective business heads including new business targets.
  • Promoting the Premium Banking business across the jurisdiction to raise the profile of the business in the community.  This includes ensuring that the Premium Banking Team participates in and or sponsors key events catering to key target markets and holds regular client events to entertain and/or to educate clients on topics relevant to their financials needs.
  • Identifying opportunities for new business initiatives in the market and lead their execution with appropriate internal stakeholders.
  • Defining, launching, and sustaining an offering directed at serving individual clients, within professional firms on the island. 
  • Building a dynamic pipeline of client opportunities that can be introduced to Premium Bankers, Relationship Managers and/or Private Bankers for action.     
  • Managing a portfolio of demanding relationships, cross-selling the full range of the Bank’s products and services, and undertaking profitability analyses when required.
  • Maintaining a thorough knowledge and understanding of Bank policies and procedures, and regulatory and compliance requirements. 
  • Providing input into a broad range of current and or future projects within the Bank impacting on your Customer Base.

 

Your qualifications and skills include:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance or related field, preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in financial services across banking and investments.
  • Proven track record of creating and executing business development plans 
  • Strong presentation and sales skills.
  • Strong interpersonal, negotiation and decision-making skills are required.
  • Display a strong sense of professionalism, with an understanding of standard business customs and practices.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
