The incumbent prepares, cooks, and monitors food quality, maintains kitchen cleanliness and safety, follows company policies, supports team objectives, and performs physical tasks required in a professional and efficient manner.

 

CORE FUNCTIONS

Food Preparation and Cooking

  • Prepare ingredients by portioning, chopping, washing, peeling, weighing, measuring, and mixing.
  • Cook food according to recipes, quality, and presentation standards; prepare cold foods.
  • Operate ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves, and fryers; test foods for doneness.
  • Monitor food quality during preparation and serve proper portions.

Kitchen Maintenance and Safety

  • Set up and break down workstations; wash and disinfect kitchen areas, tables, tools, knives, and equipment.
  • Check temperatures of appliances and food to ensure correctness.
  • Follow all safety and security policies; report accidents, maintenance needs, and unsafe conditions.

Professional Conduct and Teamwork

  • Maintain professional appearance and personal hygiene; maintain confidentiality and protect company assets.
  • Communicate clearly and develop positive working relationships; support team goals.
  • Listen and respond appropriately to employee concerns.

Physical Requirements

  • Stand, sit, or walk for extended periods; bend, twist, pull, stoop, and reach overhead or below knees.
  • Move, lift, carry, push, pull, or place objects up to 25 pounds.

Other Duties

  • Perform other reasonable tasks as requested by supervisors.

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATION

  • Education: High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
  • Related Work Experience: At least 1 year of related work experience.
  • Supervisory Experience: No supervisory experience.
  • License or Certification: None
