Supporting the Marketing & Communications team by managing digital content, maintaining the organization’s online presence, and enhancing engagement across all digital platforms.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, design, and publish engaging digital content (graphics, videos, and written posts) across BNT’s social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Youtube, and TikTok.
  • Capture and edit photographs and short videos from national park events, projects, and outreach activities.
  • Ensure that all digital content aligns with the organization’s visual identity and communication standards.
  • Update and maintain website content through WordPress, ensuring timely posting of news articles, events, and press releases.
  • Support the integration of multimedia content such as videos, images, and downloadable materials.
  • Assist with SEO and accessibility improvements to enhance online visibility.
  • Support digital campaigns including corporate fundraising, membership drives, and park promotions.
  • Monitor and respond to online messages, comments, and engagement queries in a timely, professional manner.
  • Assist with the creation and scheduling of e-newsletters and digital fundraising initiatives.
  • Track, analyze, and report on social media and website performance using tools such as Meta Insights and Google Analytics.
  • Provide monthly summaries of key metrics to support data-driven decision-making.
  • Work closely with the Education and Development teams support events, campaigns, and education outreach.
  • Assist in content collection and coordination with Family Island park staff.
  • Contribute to special projects and multimedia campaigns as assigned.

 

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in digital media, communication, marketing, graphic design, or a related field.
  • 2-3 years of professional experience in digital communications, content creation, or marketing.
  • Proficiency in WordPress, Canva, and familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro).
  • Excellent written and visual communication skills.
  • Strong understanding of social media platforms, content scheduling and audience engagement.
  • Analytical mindset with basic knowledge of digital performance metrics.
  • Highly organized, self-motivated, and detail oriented.
  • Experience with photography, videography, and content editing.
  • Understanding of Bahamian environmental issues, national parks, and cultural heritage.
  • Previous work experience in a non-profit or conservation organization.
