Assist all department with equipment when needed, make sure all equipment are check prior to use and after each use on a daily basis work with Garage crew closely when there’s an issue with equipment.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • The primary function is to assist with operating heavy equipment where needed.
  • Each equipment is to be inspected /check before and after each use.
  • Report any issue to facilities technical manager/mechanic.
  • All equipment is to be kept in order and washed daily.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned or as directed. The omission of specific duties does not preclude the supervisor from assigning duties that are logically related to the position.
  • Reports maintenance problems.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned or as directed. Must be familiar with the Safety and Environmental Protection Policy and carry out the policies and procedures appropriate for his/her position.

 

NATURE AND SCOPE

  • The position will report directly to Technical Facilities Manager.
  • Duties are completed in a timely manner.  Position requires ability to adjust to changing supervisor directions at a moments’ notice, depending upon the needs of the supervisor or other management. 
  • The incumbent must be able to work in a multi-cultural environment; also, must be able to adjust to changes in assignments, work areas and schedules.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimal 2 years’ experience as an operator.
  • Valid drivers license with class A, E. Class B.B1 a plus.
  • Capable to operate the following heavy equipment (Telehanders, backhoe, tractors, Dozer, Excavators, Articulates dump truck.

 

EDUCATION

  • High School diploma or equivalent degree is required.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • While performing the essential functions of this job, all team members are required to stand; walk short distances; use hands to touch, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk or hear.  Positions may require repetitive motion of bending, climbing, going up and down stairs and lifting more than 25 pounds.
  • Work within different temperature changes—indoors to outdoors.
  • Able to pass basic safety course.
