Position Overview:

The Human Resources Officer, Employee Relations supports the development and maintenance of a positive work environment by addressing employee concerns, fostering effective communication, and ensuring compliance with company policies and labor laws. This role entails assisting with conflict resolution, employee engagement initiatives, performance management, and employee development programs. Additionally, the role includes responsibilities in internal communications, content creation, social media management, and market research, as well as collaborating with the marketing department to promote HR initiatives. 

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in planning and executing employee engagement activities and recognition programs.
  • Conduct surveys and gather feedback to assess employee satisfaction and identify areas for improvement. 
  • Mediate disputes between employees and between employees and management, under guidance from senior HR staff. 
  • Provide support and guidance to employees to resolve workplace conflicts and grievances.
  • Assist in developing, updating, and communicating HR policies and procedures.
  • Assist in identifying performance issues and provide recommendations for improvement.
  • Ensure HR practices comply with labor laws and regulations. 
  • Maintain accurate and confidential employee records and analyze HR data to identify trends and prepare reports. 
  • Develop and distribute internal newsletters and announcements. 
  • Create content for the Bank’s intranet and internal communication channels.
  • Work with the Marketing team to promote internal engagement activities and HR initiatives via social channels. 
  • Monitor and analyze social media metrics to improve employee reach and engagement.
  • Conduct market research to support employer branding strategies and HR-related campaigns.
  • Support other HR functions and initiatives as needed. 

 

Minimum Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • A minimum of three to five (3–5) years of experience in HR, Business Administration, or a related support-focused role. 
  • Experience in HR documentation, recordkeeping, and compliance management, including maintaining employee records and supporting HR administration processes. 
  • Proficiency in HR software, with experience in employee relations and performance management tools; familiarity with labor laws preferred. 
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Capable of working independently and as part of a team, with a proactive, results-oriented approach. 
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making capabilities, with strategic and creative thinking.
  • High level of confidentiality and professionalism, committed to integrity in employee relations and compliance. 
  • Proficient in Canva or similar graphic design tools for creating visual content and publications.
