IDB Invest is establishing a Talent Pool of highly qualified Risk Management Senior Associates or Officers to support current and future business needs across the organization.

 

About this Talent Pool

The ideal talent should have experience or be interested in identification, assessment, monitoring, and mitigation of risks, helping ensure sound decision-making and effective risk governance in support of IDB Invest’s strategic objectives. 

 

What you might do:

Support the origination, execution, and monitoring of Infrastructure and Energy, corporate and project finance transactions by providing independent credit risk assessments, identifying key issues, and recommending practical solutions. Evaluate complex financing structures, financial and legal documentation, and risk models, contributing to multidisciplinary teams and advising on risk mitigation strategies. Review and validate credit ratings, monitor non-sovereign portfolios, prepare detailed credit risk reports, and present findings and recommendations to senior management. Collaborate on debt restructuring initiatives, apply risk methodologies and analytical tools to assess exposure, and promote best practices and knowledge sharing across teams to strengthen risk management and decision-making processes. 

 

What we are looking for:

  • Education: Master’s degree (or equivalent advanced degree) in Business Administration, Finance, Engineering, or a similar field. 
  • Experience: 3-4 years of relevant professional experience in similar positions would be preferred, as well as strong analytical skills and a proven ability to develop innovative solutions. 
  • Languages: Proficiency in English, spoken and written, is required. Spanish, Portuguese or French would be a plus.
