The Information Systems Security Administrator will act as a critical part of the information security team and assist in protecting and securing data stored electronically on the Bank systems, while reporting to the Information Security Officer.

 

CORE FUNCTIONS:

  • Assist with technical controls, evaluations, and implementation relating to the Bank's electronic information security.
  • Assist with the implementation of security controls and risk appropriate solutions in response to business requirements to maintain an efficient and secure enterprise infrastructure supporting confidentiality, integrity and availability.
  • Assist with identifying and addressing potential and current cyber and information security threats.
  • Support the security control life cycle, data privacy and information security practices across all areas of IT infrastructure.
  • Participate in industry information security groups and conferences, and perform other related duties as assigned.

 

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Information Security or a related field or equivalent qualification from a recognized tertiary institution with one (1) year related experience.
  • Relevant industry certification such as Security+, Network+, CISA, MCSA/MCSE preferred.
  • Working knowledge of Log Analysis (Security, Network, IPS/IDS, HIDS, SIEM), User Provisioning (Active Directory, Applications), Vulnerability Management.
  • Working knowledge with Microsoft system architectures, including familiarity with potential security issues and configurations effecting Microsoft operating systems and application server platforms.
  • Working knowledge of the security functions for standard workstation and server platforms (AS400, Windows NT, Windows 2000).
  • Working knowledge of communications protocols (especially TCP/IP) and associated security issues.
  • Good technical support and report writing skills.
  • Working knowledge of network switches, routers and firewalls and end-point protection.
  • Ability to research and analyze security threats.
  • Self-starter who demonstrates initiative and is willing to assume responsibility.
  • Adaptive, flexible, and resourceful individual that is results orientated.
  • Sound oral and written communication skills.
