Under the general direction of the Parish Programme Specialist (Vector Control) the incumbent will execute vector control activities within designated geographical locations for the prevention & control of vector borne diseases.

 

Core Responsibilities

  • Visit and inspect premises for mosquito breeding.
  • Appropriately treat/destroy breeding and potential breeding sites found.
  • Conducts assessment along with baiting of premises for rodent control.
  • Report findings of public health significance for intervention such as block drains, illicit dumping.
  • Cleans and maintains chemical storage area.
  • Preparing/mixing of chemicals for mosquito adulticidal control.
  • Assist in adulticidal mosquito control activities.
  • Assist in the general mosquito control activities within the parish.
  • Any other duties required from time to time.
