Laundry Attendant

Key responsibilities include:

• Performing a variety of pressing, feeding, catching, lifting, folding and stacking duties in accordance with department standards, and according to the priority list
• Inspecting all linen for stains and damage; removing it from production and placing it in appropriate bins
• Neatly folding linens by hand or by operating a variety of institutional laundry equipment according to department standards
• Understanding relevant manual handling (lifting) and basic Infection Control procedures and protocols
• Participating in departmental inventory

Qualifications & Registration required:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Prior experience preferred (successful post holder should expect to undergo immediate on-the-job training)
• Must be able to frequently bend, walk, stretch, stand for long periods, and work swiftly
• Basic written and numeracy skills 
• Excellent verbal communication skills with internal and external customers
