The incumbent oversees Deposit Insurance Corporation operations, leads strategic planning, manages depositor payout arrangements, conducts crisis simulations, and prepares analytical reports for senior management and the Board.

 

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the day-to-day operational activities of the Deposit Insurance Corporation (DIC). 
  • Lead in the annual strategic work plan for the DIC, inclusive of key projects around public awareness,  and the target size of the Fund 
  • Operationalize the pay-out arrangements for depositors of a failed member.
  • Develop crises management and run simulation and scenario testing on the pay out of depositors of a failed DIC member.
  • Prepare various analytical and qualitative reports for senior management and 
  • Board  on the DIC and  its members. 

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in banking, economics, mathematics, finance or accounting from a recognized tertiary institution. 
  • Strong report writing skills.
  • Sound financial analytics. 
  • Software skillset in programing or Visual Basic, R, Eviews, Stata. 
  • Knowledge of data and statistical modelling skills.
  • Good project management skills.
  • Sound knowledge of MS Word and MS Excel. 
  • Three  (3) years’ relevant experience.
