Truck Driver

Key responsibilities include:

• Performs a variety of tasks associated with clean linen delivery, soiled linen collection and the delivery of supplies for Laundry & Linen Services, as required
• Delivers various supplies to assigned areas of the Bermuda Hospitals Board
• Coordinates maintenance of vehicle and reports malfunctions, breakdowns and / or accidents to Management immediately. Ensures that the vehicle is filled with diesel / gas, oil and water from a BHB approved vendor
• Maintains a daily written record of the vehicle mileage incurred in the process of the delivering and collecting linen and other supplies.
• Exercises care and observe all safety and health related rules of the Bermuda Government, inclusive of, but not limited to speed limits, parking and traffic signs
• Undertakes any other duties as required by Management and which are consistent with the responsibilities of the post.

Qualifications & Registration required:

• High School diploma
• Must have twelve (12) months experience driving a heavy truck
• Must have a valid heavy truck driver’s license
• Experience working in a customer service environment/preferably healthcare
