The North-East Regional Health Authority invites applications from suitably qualified persons to fill the position of Medical Officer 1 for the St. Mary Health Departments.

 

Job Purpose

The Medical Officer will be responsible for the delivery of medical and paramedical services of the health department/hospital, in accordance with the Government’s policies, regulations/legal requirements and guidelines and will ensure continuous improvements in the quality of care in the delivery of these health services.

 

Qualification & Experience:

  • Graduate of an accredited medical school with satisfactory internship
  • Fully registered with the Medical Council of Jamaica
  • Medical Defense Insurance
  • A minimum of two (2) years post graduate experience
  • Ability to provide effective leadership and work as part of a team;
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to establish and maintain satisfactory working relationships with a wide cross section of professionals and organizations;
  • Excellent analytical and forecasting skills;
  • Excellent time management skills;
  • Excellent communication skills
