The incumbent supervises kitchen operations, ensures food quality and presentation, supports staff management, and maintains safety, inventory, and service standards in alignment with company policies.

 

CORE FUNCTIONS

  • Supervise and coordinate activities of cooks and kitchen staff.
  • Determine food presentation and create decorative displays.
  • Ensure correct portioning, arrangement, and garnish.
  • Monitor food quantity and inform service staff of specials and shortages.
  • Prepare special meals or substitutes as needed.
  • Assist cooks and provide necessary kitchen items.
  • Monitor kitchen inventory and maintain food safety logs.
  • Ensure food quality and report any discrepancies.
  • Assist management with hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, and coaching staff.
  • Enforce safety, security, and company policies; report incidents and complete required certifications.
  • Maintain professional appearance and protect company assets.
  • Address guest needs and communicate clearly and professionally.
  • Foster positive team relationships and respond to employee concerns.
  • Adhere to quality standards and perform physical tasks as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors.

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATION

  • Education: Technical, Trade, or Vocational School Degree.
  • Related Work Experience: 4 to 6 years of related work experience.
  • Supervisory Experience: At least 2 years of supervisory experience.
  • License or Certification: None
