We are seeking an experienced UAT Support Officer to join our dynamic Information Technology Unit and support the achievement of key business goals.

 

Position Overview:

The UAT Support Officer (USO) provides functional support to the UAT Unit and is responsible for the execution and documentation of test cases for Bank-wide projects and other selected initiatives. The incumbent must be able to quickly grasp new concepts and understand business scenarios and processes related to systems being implemented or upgraded. The USO is required to support and adhere to the Bank’s testing strategy in accordance with established policies and procedures and will serve as a key liaison between the UAT Department and various stakeholders.
 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensures test definitions provide comprehensive and effective coverage of all reasonable aspects of functionality.
  • Executes test cases using sample source documents as inputs and ensures final outcomes are satisfactory.
  • Validates that all test case input sources and output results are documented and auditable.
  • Documents issues and works with the Project Team and relevant stakeholders to resolve problems identified during testing.
  • Completes and signs test worksheets to support formal sign-off on all test cases.
  • Accepts test results on behalf of the relevant user population.
  • Identifies required changes to existing processes and advises the Team Leader to ensure updates are implemented and effectively communicated to users.
  • Assists with the preparation of test scenarios and test cases for ongoing projects.
  • Provides regular and timely reports on UAT progress.
  • Assists with training and process reviews, as required from time to time.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.


Minimum Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Three (3) to five (5) years’ experience in project management and/or supporting business initiatives, project management certification would be an asset.
  • Experience in the banking or financial services industry (preferred).
  • Eight (8) years’ experience contributing to the development and implementation of banking operations and information systems.
  • Certification and/or experience in business analysis, requirements management, change management, process improvement, and/or quality assurance would be an asset.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
  • Proven ability to deliver results, manage multiple priorities, and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with sound negotiation and risk management capability.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and project management tools/applications.
  • Ability to execute a high volume of test cases accurately and efficiently.
