This position provides assistance in the conduct of Assurance audits of assigned Ministries, Departments, Agencies, Statutory and Public Bodies.

This position is responsible for conducting Assurance Audits in assigned Ministries, Department, Agencies, Public & Statutory Bodies.

The incumbent leads IT audits, prepares risk-based plans and reports, monitors compliance with standards, and provides supervision and development for audit staff.

The incumbent directs financial statement audits, develops and monitors operational plans, provides technical oversight and training to staff, and represents the Auditor General at various forums.

The incumbent provides secretarial and administrative functions that offer support to the Director of Complaints and Investigators in accordance with established standards and procedures.

The incumbent conducts investigations into legal and policy breaches, gathers evidence and interviews witnesses, and prepares detailed reports with recommendations for the Commission.

The incumbent is responsible for applying statistical methodologies to a wide range of problems; develop and maintain databases, covering matters relevant to the Commission’s portfolio, in support of long-term planning; and strategic development.

The incumbent ensures accurate financial recording and reporting, maintains internal controls for payments and receipts, manages budget preparation and expenditure, and implements effective cash management systems.

The incumbent provides administrative support by coordinating reports and meetings, managing procurement documentation and correspondence, and facilitating the flow of purchasing and financial transactions.

The incumbent manages the procurement process by preparing tender documents, evaluating bids, maintaining vendor records, and ensuring compliance with procedures for acquiring goods and services.
